Electric Horseman

 This movie has Robert Redford, Willie Nelson, and a light-up cowboy outfit, all on top of a horse.  So of course it's rad.

Arugula

The arugula that I planted last week is already sprouting.  I'm thinking I'll make this with it once it's ready to harvest, but to make it easy on me I'll use wonton wrappers instead of actually making the pasta dough.

Outfit and Ice Cream

I can't stop thinking about wearing clothes along these lines and eating ice cream (preferably at the same time).  The ice cream is at least within my budget, though, so that comes first.

Punch's Almanack

I struck more gold at this website, this time in the form of Punch's Almanack.  Full of witticisms and pen and ink illustrations, it's worth a couple of minutes (or hours) of your time.

Lipstick

I cut my hair pretty short last week (lost 12 inches), and now I'm thinking that I'd like to add in some lipstick to my routine (I'm thinking red and coral to start) to complement the new look. These ladies are definitely inspiring me as well.

The Penny Magazine

I stumbled across The Penny Magazine of the Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge (how great is that title?) here the other day, and can't get enough of it.  It's got wonderful illustrations, plus information on just about any topic you can think of (and some you can't...elastic cement, anyone?).

Gardens

I planted some seeds this weekend, and am getting really excited about gardening in general.  I am crossing my fingers especially for the arugula; I'd love to have some homegrown for pizzas and salads.  Hopefully these resources will help out the whole project....(from Amazon).

Spring sewing inspiration

I found this image on Facehunter, and am definitely going to try my own version of her menswear inspired dress + ruffle.  Contemplating even trying the dying technique--we'll see ambitious I am when it's go time.

Mansfield Park

 A friend and I had girl's night last week and rewatched Mansfield Park (the 1999 version, a favorite from college).  Such a good version of this story, which after all is not my favorite Jane Austen novel.  I think I may even like the movie better (gasp).
